I’ve never thought of it like this!  Thanks Sarah Mae!  What does it mean to “claim it”?  I’ve often wondered about that phrase… does it mean just to say I agree… I say it aloud… I commit to this?  Pondering this…. Love, Traci

I think it means to say you agree and then start living out of who you are. You submit yourself to the Holy Spirit, walk by faith (not knowing what’s ahead!), and not let anyone bind you. Let only Christ tell you who you are.

LOL! Guess our convo really did inspire you!  I love that when we are in Christ we can all be free spirits.  And to claim it means just letting his spirit flow freely through us.  It’s the lesson he’s been teaching me all year.  It’s when we get out of his way because of fear of man, or what people will think about us and just allow His spirit to flow freely through us.  Our world wants so badly to tell us what kind of christian we should be, or what kind of mom we should be, or what kind of wife we should be….but when we get ourselves out of the way and let the Holy Spirit move in our hearts, and the truth of His word shape our lives, and STOP WORRYING ALL THE TIME ABOUT WHAT ANYONE BUT THE LORD thinks of us….then we claim our “free spirit.”  I know that’s what he’s been whispering to me for the past several months.  Our outward is just a reflection of our inward…and as far as I’m concerned, I want both of those to line up for me with what my heavenly Father calls me…and that is “Beloved!”  I love you friend!

Thanks for you videos!!  You had mentioned about Ladies Bible Studies (the other day) — just wondering what you books you like to use with your studies and who you open the gourps up to?

Mmm…I’m drawing a blank. Is it the Mom Heart Mission of Motherhood book club your thinking of at momheart.org?

Thank you!!!  I’m a first-born, but always a little afraid to show my free spirit, because that’s my little sister.  I have bursts, but I thinks it’s time to just unfurl that flag and let it fly!  🙂

      Let it fly!

I love this video. I have had to learn to be a free spirit, or freer, but I’m getting there. I only wish it had been an overnight process for me. My goal is to make sure others are “freer” as well. Thanks for a great reminder.

You are so much fun, Sarah!  🙂  Love watching your glowing personality {and free spirit} in video.   I’m planning to put some video on my site’s to add a personal touch to them, but apparently I need special software or something… ???   Working on it…   Hope you have a beautiful weekend!

Hi Sarah – I came across your blog searching for Christians as Free Spirits. What you had to say in your video is exactly how I feel about being a free spirit. Your video made me smile and lifted my spirit. I love John 3:8. I recently changed my business name to Free Spirits Jewelry, I felt led to do that, however, I have gotten some not so good feedback on the name from another Christian. You are a blessing 🙂
