31 Days to Clean - The Reboot! Join in! See my frizzy hair! - Sarah Mae
Hi, I'm Sarah.
Join me in keeping on and beginning again!

31 Days to Clean – The Reboot! Join in! See my frizzy hair!

Well, I’ve decided to go through 31 Days to Clean here on my blog. But not exactly.

Tyndale is going to be publishing the book and I need to beef it up and revise it, therefore I’m going to be cleaning and writing during June…and I’d like your help. Here, just watch the video (it’s worth it if only for my absurd hair):

(Can’t see the video? Click here. Also, if you like the shirt I’m wearing you can find it here for only $10!)

So, want to clean with me? If you do, link up your blog below and we’ll tackle our homes and our hearts, together. If you write a post letting your readers know you’re going through the challenges with me, link that post below. If you don’t have a blog, just leave a comment letting me know you’re joining in. Or, you know, be the silent type. Whatever works for you. Sound good? If you want to help me spread the word, grab the button at the top of the post and put it on your blog (just right click and “save as” and link it to this post). Also, if you would like a copy of 31 Days to Clean, you can get the PDF for 50% off with code: Reboot

We won’t be going through the book exactly as it is; this is really more of an experimental journey, and there will be different challenges, hence, “The Reboot”.

Okay, let’s get this party started! I’ll put a list of challenges up every morning (Mon-Fri) beginning Monday, June 4th. Let’s do this!

If you want to make sure you don’t miss a day, you can get the articles sent your email by clicking here or RSS by clicking here.

As your hair’s polar opposite (fine, straight, and flat), I think you look lovely.  And way to go on the cleaning!

    • http://whileonthisside.blogspot.in/ Birdie

I love her hair as well! If I could get my hair to do anything besides lay flat or go into a ponytail I would be the happiest girl.

I am so glad she is doing the cleaning as well! I am just wrapping up a challenge, but I am needing another go at it! 😀

      • http://www.likeawarmcupofcoffee.com Sarah Mae

Oh my goodness, you are hilarious! Seriously, the Mufasa is crazy. CRAZY I tell you. I have to PAY to get my hair flat.

        The grass is always greener…

        • http://seasonedjoy.com/ Sheila

Sarah Mae, except for a difference in shade, I think we have the same hair. I always get it thinned out when I get it cut and it’s STILL ridiculously crazy.  I can’t tell you how many pictures I have of myself where it’s like “is she really under there?” when my face is all but hidden by the hair.

        • Kateabigail1

Haha, a CHI Hair Straightener set to 410 degrees is the only thing that will flatten my hair!

  • http://www.ordinaryinspirations.blogspot.com/ Traci Michele

buttons up!  great hair babes!  <3 Traci

Woo hoo (to the joining in, not the wreck part)! 😉

  • newlifesteward

I can’t watch the video (data limit), so you may have covered this, but about how much time will each task take? I don’t want to commit if I can’t keep up, but I would love to get this house cleaned and then start a disciplined cleaning schedule to keep it that way.

    • http://www.likeawarmcupofcoffee.com Sarah Mae

I think each day will have a longer challenge (for those with more time) and a shorter challenge for those with little ones or have limited time. See, you’re already helping me! I’m really figuring it out as I go. 😉

      • newlifesteward

Ok. Count me in. I’ll do my best to keep up and give you feedback. I’ll warn you though, I hate to clean. Tips on making it fun are welcomed 🙂

How did you know??? I promise myself every summer that I’ll get things cleaned and organized before the next school year begins…could this be the year I actually get it done?! I am excited! (Loved that you said “get your rear in gear”…thought I was the only one who said things like that!)

    • http://www.likeawarmcupofcoffee.com Sarah Mae

      Yes, THIS is the year!!!!

  • Elizabeth Floyd

I was part of your first group that tried this bad boy out and loved it. I’ll gladly come alongside and work with you on the reboot.  I’m not going to link my blog this time, as I’ve found it’s one of the things I just don’t have enough time for right now.  I’ll be getting your emails each morning though, so I’m all set. Thanks for the invite.  =)

    • http://www.likeawarmcupofcoffee.com Sarah Mae

No problem on not linking – just have fun with it!

I’m in…I’m been making excuses not to clean our garage! We moved from Germany to Mississippi in January and all the overflow went in there. Now it’s hard to even walk…lol.

    • http://www.likeawarmcupofcoffee.com Sarah Mae

Ooooh, the garage…I’ll be praying for you. 😉

  • Makinglemonadeblog

Sarah Mae, the hair is AMAZING.  People pay to have that hair, you know!  Looks like a great challenge, I’ll take part when I can.  And YAY on the book!!!

    • http://www.likeawarmcupofcoffee.com Sarah Mae

Ha, thanks! But really, if you saw it in person, CRAZY. Thanks for joining in when you can!

I’m in. Bring on the first challenge!

  • jessicafeuser

I’m very excited–this is just the boost I need!  Count me in.  🙂

  • Misty

This is my biggest struggle(unfortunately my whole house does look like this)! It drives me crazy literally sometimes. I have  dedicated this summer to reclaiming my home so that I can focus on my childrens’ hearts as well as my own. I have made a tackle plan for this summer, but I can’t wait til your challenges come. I am so in. I want to have the right attitude/heart about this so I will win this battle. It affects so much. Right now, my mountain this week is laundry.

  • http://twitter.com/jkegeiger KGeiger

I was so relieved to see your play room!!!  Ours looks very similar!  I have the 31 Days to Clean on my Kindle – I’m in!

  • Rosecraig79

I love 31 Days To Clean! I’m in

  • 5kidsmessyhouse

I love your hair!!! It would be so nice if we could see ourselves as others see us! Thank you so much for posting this!! I have a room that looks just like that and am embarrsed to have anyone over… 🙁

  • Jennifer

I am in!  Our 2nd baby is due at Thanksgiving, so we are spending the summer reorganizing our house and making space.  So this challenge comes at the perfect time 😉

  • http://www.facebook.com/sonyamacdesigns Sonya McCllough

fancy June 4th is the day my children are off to Fuge Camp … so what else is a single mom to do but clean while their away … I’m in

  • Sarah Cooper

Yes, yes, YES! Count me in!

  • Holly

I love the crazy hair too.  & I’ll give the challenge a shot. Love the title of the new book, I think it sums up what so many of us want to be.

  • http://www.ninathemom.blogspot.com/ nina the mom

Love the e-book, love the facebook group aka my Challenge Pals, etc… This is going to be so fun!!

  • AldaraH

I’ll be joining in.  I do not have a blog that I actively post on so I’ll just be doing this myself and I cannot wait.  I want to get this house organized and clean before the school year starts up again. It is my goal to finally become organized.

  • Jenny Nicolicchia

I will be joining in!  I don’t have your original 31 Days to Clean yet – should I download it before we get started, or just follow what you’ll be posting?  P.s. My husband is going to be thrilled!  🙂

    • http://www.likeawarmcupofcoffee.com Sarah Mae

I think you should get the eBook. 😉

      • Jenny Nicolicchia

Copy that!  🙂  It is a screamin’ deal, after all!

  • Felicity

I am ready to go!  Count me in.  My house is starting to become over run with clutter and bad habits!  It started in my laundry room and is spreading to the rest of my once lovely home!  I’m ready to be a Martha with a Mary attitude…Lord willing!  After all, we can do ALL things through Him (I think that includes clutter control!)  I’m ready to walk in victory and get rid of the defeatist mentality!

  • http://stronghaven.wordpress.com/ Lizzie

I am feeling so burnt out on cleaning that this challenge comes at a perfect time for me. I have two or three big projects that I supposed to be finishing, and i am reminding myself that I simply MUST keep my house under clontrol.  (Not that it’s there yet…) Count me in!

  • Dani

So excited to take this challenge! Thanks for getting people involved! Always looking for new/helpful ways to keep my house under control! With four kids it seems nearly impossible!
    Thank You

  • Jessi Grace

    I’m ready!

  • http://christasterken.wordpress.com/ Christa

My house seems to be tidy in most areas, but that has taken years of hard work and attitude changes (plus, I have two helpful teens now who often help me…not excitedly, but capably 🙂
I know though, there are a lot of “shoved in” areas and I tend to collect clutter. And clean? Sounds perfect since I mean to get in deep with that stuff all year but it doesn’t happen. Count me in! Hooray for us!

  • Monique

Did you reallly say spring  2014?!? What a long way to go! But anyway.. I think I don’t have to jump in *Ü* I really can’t stand any mess in my house, so I am already cleaning and decluttering throughout the day.

But hey! I wish you and all the girls all the best and you can be sure of my visits!  ;o)

  • Bluedemoncar

I dont have a blog, however, I will be following you and your reboot. LOL!! Hopefully this will help me “reboot” my motivation to stay on top of my house. LOL!!

  • JackieS

ok – i’m in (except i’m gone for a week during the 31 says, so i guess i better get busy this weekend).  i am one of the most organized people, who has had a year that has turned me into the “most messed up, unorganized, mom/wife with a non-sorted house” type of woman!

  • http://eachdaygodsway.wordpress.com/ Leah

I need this.  My house, my family, my sanity all need this!  And I responded via Twitter as well because I am participating in Tweet Week over at the Better Blogs FB group… hope you don’t mind my practice with your tweet!  Looking forward to the Reboot!

  • Ljdroll

I have several rooms – the guest room and the ‘office’ that are overflowing with junk.  I just toss things in them and hope I have time at some point to clean them.  There are closets and drawers that are a mess as well.  I am really looking forward to doing this!  Count me in!  Thanks!

  • Jamie Thompson

Im in! We are already cleaning out, but its more fun with more! LOL I downloaded the book too!

  • http://www.vanessasvalues.blogspot.com/ Vanessa

I shocked myself this spring by washing the curtains and windows in the house.  But I’m not convinced that it was done the Mary way. 🙂  Very excited about this series!

Our family is going to be out of town on vacation for the last week in June and I’m not sure that I’ll be able to blog about this so I didn’t link up my blog this time – but I will be following along.

  • Alicia

So glad you are doing this again!! I’m so in!

  • Stacey

I’m another one with totally flat and limp hair, so of course I’d love to trade, haha!

And now for the true honesty… I’m so bad at this all that I have NEVER finished your book.  I’ve had it since it came out, and I still haven’t done all the challenges.  I’m pathetic, I know.  But I’m willing to give this all another go.

  • http://inloveandgrace.tumblr.com/ Lily

I’m in! I read Frumps to pumps a few weeks ago and worked wonders for me… I just got 31 days for Kindle this morning 🙂 So I’m definitely in for the reboot. On hair: we have the same super voluminous amazon/woman of the forest/mufasa hair. No worries though it makes us look fierce haha! Take care!

  • http://thetoyboxyears.blogspot.com/ Jennifer

I’d love to do this!  My husband is getting ready for a deployment in July and this will help me get organized before he goes!

  • Lauren

I’m in! I think I found you in the middle of the last challenge. This time I’ll be cleaning with you instead of reading about all of your cleaning while sitting in my cluttered house. 🙂

  • Amanda

    I’m in!  So excited!

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1017175043 Traci Liberto

Count me in!  I have lost control and need a reboot!

  • Heather P

Count me in!   Love to try new stuff!

  • Pamela

I would like to give it a try…..

  • Mariahrds

You should have stuck a tiara in that hair and put on a crazy feathered gown, then it totally would have went…:D

  • LindseySteffensen

I’m so in! This has been a very tough month for me with keeping up with everything, can’t wait to get started with you 🙂

  • http://goinswriter.com/ Jeff Goins

Okedoke, well, I’ll jump in here. I need a cleaner house.

    • http://www.likeawarmcupofcoffee.com Sarah Mae

  • http://twitter.com/GHSAHM Jeanie Cullip

I am so excited to try this again, maybe with some accountability of sharing my page here will help a little!

    Here goes take 2! http://www.examiner.com/article/31-days-to-clean-take-2?cid=db_articles

  • http://www.newbabygiftboxes.co.uk/ Lisa

Ooh, count me in.  My house is a mess and seems completely un-doable.  I guess we tackle a bit at a time with lots of encouragement?

  • TexasGardenia

WooHoo! I’ll be travelling part of June, but I’ll catch up on the posts and assignments when I get back.  I’m with Felicity “my house is starting to become over run with clutter and bad habits”, mostly bad habits at my house – mine, which translates into my daughters bad habits too.

  • Leslie

My sewing room is a catch all and the living room has hunting stuff everywhere! I need this, so I will stop ignoring it and do something about it! Thank you!

  • Vegan Lish

I am IN! I need to clean and organize after a busy year of homeschooling and teaching college! Gotta get ready for THE Garage sale to end all garage sales.

  • Gail

    Hi there Sarah Mae,
We are heading onto winter here in Australia and whilst my home is OK, I need a little more discipline with getting going. So count me in too. Whilst you are all sleeping I’ll be cleaning and vis versa.
    Blessings Gail

  • Amie

Count me in!  I love the new title of your book!  Wish I didn’t have to wait until 2014 to read it though.  🙂

  • Ejsadosky

Since my husband is coming home for his leave from deployment in 31 days….this is extremely perfect timing!!

  • Jenn

We just moved and it was a whirlwind time so this is perfect timing!! I’m in!! I also just decided to do the original since I’m on Summer Break, so doubly perfect timing! Haha

  • Angie

Going to try this again. I got started last year and did t make it the whole month. Too many life things haPpening and interrupting. May have to do this at my own Pace and not stress if I don’t do every days challenges because not all will apply to me. But Will try to do better at keeping up and being consistent because I knOw in the end I will be glad of the results. So thanks for rebooting me too.

  • Kathy

Ultimate distraction! Our  elderly aunt just died yesterday and we have had  total care of  her since her stroke two  years ago.  Funeral and burial is Thursday  and I will need 31 Days  more than ever!

  • Heathershores

    Let’s do this!

  • Rosalind

I’m joining the challenge.  I have to have my house cleaned, spotless (as realistically spotless with young children) decluttered and organized by the end of the June.  My husband is a very neat person and I have a higher tolerance for mess.  I’ve promised as his gift for Father’s Day the house will be up to his standards – give or take a little (he’s very reasonable and patient) – by the end of the month.  So I’m in.  The timing of this reboot is fantastic for me.  I’m ready to get started.

  • http://knittylove.blogspot.com/ Marie

I absolutely LOVE this idea of combining organizing/cleaning your house with spending time with God…perfect combination 🙂

  • Keltic985

I know I am late but I am jumping into this challenge.  I really need this. I feel like my clean mode is either on high or off. I get the house really clean but then I can’t keep it up. I get burnt out.

  • Ishrath Farhana

  • Rachel F.

I tried to buy your book but never saw a place to put the code “Reboot” in.  What am I missing?  Thanks so much!  I am looking forward to reading your book.

  • Lisa

Clutter is starting to take over my house and I can’t take it any longer.   So, count me in!  I’m finding that being busy with one outside the home  activity after another and homeschooling my kids it has been challenging to keep up with keeping our home clean as I’d like it to be.  So, I’m right on board with you.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=569791804 Michele Rae Goguen

Do you happen to have the Frumps to Pumps in a regular ol’ PDF file by chance? Tha tI can pay to download? Thanks 🙂

  • Christine

How can I access the rest of the days?
