I’m taking a mini-sabbatical from the online world.

I’ll be offline (no blogging, tweeting, FBing, email, etc.) for seven days beginning Sunday. I’m doing this as a way to check myself, refresh my soul, and be a lab rat for my new eBook. I’m entering the “real world” in all its offline glory.

There will be a post on (in)courage on Tuesday that I will pre-schedule here to go live on Tuesday. I won’t be answering the comments that day, but I’ll go back and reply after next week.

Love to you all!

Now for my goals…

I never was able to finish reading Alice in Wonderland!  I remember when I was younger my grandma turned on the cartoon, and since we didn’t have TV at home we were usual game to watch anything … but it was so weird I started to have a stomach-ache and went and hid in the living room.  Ha ha :)  Enjoy your free week!!

I asked my daughter if we could stop reading it and she said, “No! I love this book!” :)

Wishing you and your family a fun week of rest & relaxation from all the hustle of social media.  I think everyone needs a break from social media now & then–there is just to much information out there coming at us all at once!

Best of luck with your goals.  I’m praying you can get most of them done this week.  I did not do much exercising this week, except for walking 7+ miles daily.  No weights, etc.  Will work on that next week!

I’m sorry Beth, but I have to say … walking 7+ miles daily is AWESOME!!!  It may not be in comparison to what you have been doing lately (?), but that just totally blows my mind!!! In my opinion, you definitely deserve a “whoop whoop”!!!

Sounds great!  Have a fun break from the online world.  I just know you’ll come back refreshed and rejuvenated!  Love, Traci Michele

I’m inspired by your week completely off the grid. Can’t wait to hear about it. My hope is to do something like that before the end of the year!

Wow Sarah Mae!  I think you’ve done really well – again!!  While you may not have ticked all the ‘boxes’ off, you spent more time reading with the kids, read the bible everyday  and got a load of laundry done each day – in my book, that spells “amazing”!!! … You’ve inspired me these last few weeks to get my act together about writing down my goals, and I have put aside time tomorrow to really think about this and write some down!  I think I will be ‘posting’ them on the Monday like Crystal, but thank you!  This will be interesting!! … Good luck next week staying off line – I’m looking forward to hearing your report back on how this went!! Hugs!

You inspire me to do the same.  I hope I can someday soon.  Bless you in the time away from the screen.

Enjoy your time away. May God grant you clarity of mind and spirit.

P.S. I never could get through Alice in Wonderland. It is weird. ;-)

I am a Christian, and try to honor the 7 feasts spelled out in Leviticus; we are told to celebrate them “forever”. So like you, I am taking a sabbatical next week ( 10 days total) for Sukkot. So I will visit your blog in 2 weeks after our breaks. We’ll see how setting time apart has affected us.

Great set of goals! I’m updating my monthly goals on my site today – and planning for next month. Doing these monthly definitely keeps me on my toes!

Loved this post! I know everyone needs a break from the hustle and bustle of life! I feel they should step outside & look at the beautiful scenery & be amazed at God’s work!
My goals: daily I do something for hubby–get clothes ready, fix quick dinner, help with lunch.
I spend time with my Iguana (Tiny). We used to have 2 of them, but big Igg died in my arms on 8/25/12.
I also pray daily for friends, family & wo-workers.
Keep up the good work on your book!

love how the “secret” marriage book is not so secret hahaha. It’s great
that you are doing so well with your goals.. inspires me to actually
cross things off my list too. God Bless you this week as you focus on
Him and the work He has prepared for you. PS is that “ahem” after
“don’t get sick” a “hint hint, wink wink”?
