Own Your Life in 2015 (Plus a Giveaway of Sally Clarkson’s NEW Book!)

UPDATE! The Own Your Life Webcast replay is NOW AVAILABLE. Click HERE to watch it!

It’s a great mail day when your mentor’s book gets delivered!

Today is the day!

Sally’s NEW book Own Your Life: Living with Deep Intention, Bold Faith, and Generous Love is NOW available!!!!!!

“God has given each of us a unique cup, so to speak. A unique personality, a unique stewardship…and yet the only person who can drink our portion well is ourselves. And I want to encourage and inspire you in this book to think through, what is the portion that God has given you as a part of your life? How does He want you to drink it faithfully every single day?”

As you can imagine, I’m thrilled, because Sally and her words have provided such wisdom over the years. I have personally been deeply impacted by her, and particularly by this “own your life” message, something she has been instilling in me for the past few years. And friends, once you really grasp the concept, it’s a game-changer.

I am so excited for her to pass this message onto you! You really must, must, MUST get this book. Here is a portion of the foreword I wrote for it:

“Sally taught me that a wise woman, that a wise person, takes responsibility for their choices and understands that “each person has the power and authority to bring his or her life back into order; we are stewards of the days allotted for our lifetime…”

Friends, Sally has done the work; she is a woman who has walked faithfully and with integrity throughout the seasons of her life, and she has words that are worth being heeded.

Her gracious admonishment to own our lives and leave a legacy that matters is not just a sweet encouragement, it is a life-changing call to live for God with all of who we are and all the choices we make. And furthermore, Sally doesn’t just tell us to own our lives, she tells us how we can do that.

And I’m first in line for this message, and I’ll be last in line as well, because I need these words. We all do, because our lives matter, because God has a story for us to live for His Kingdom.

And to live it, we must be willing to own our lives.”

Free Webcast!

TONIGHT, in a FREE webcastSally, myself, Crystal Paine, and Angela Perritt are going to share with you how we are learning to own our lives and how you can own your life in 2015. UPDATE: Watch the replay HERE.

I want to tame the chaos that is reigning in my life and find JOY in 2015.

  • Brenda Veinotte

I think I will just enjoy all the sage advise and wisdom Sally has as she shares what God has taught her about owning your own life.

  • Angela Faust

Reading this book would be like having Sally for MY mentor.

  • IowaSarah

I do feel like I’ve lost my sense of purpose. I have my own giftings and dreams, but somehow they always get pushed to the back as I go through the days as a wife and mom and meeting the needs of the people who have been entrusted to me. I’m working hard to get my own purpose back and see how it fits WITH being a wife and mom.

  • Megan

    This book looks amazing!

  • Kelly H

    Looking forward to tonight’s webcast!

  • RestWeary

I so need to read this. Thanks

  • Nohemi

    Very Cool! Thanks!

  • Kathy

This book is a must read for those of us who have found life too complicated and need direction and purpose in every part of life. I would love to read this book and look forward to the webcast.

  • http://diannaauton.com/ Dianna Auton

I want to regain my sense of purpose and not feel exhausted at the end of the day just trying to keep up.

  • Helen G.

Finding purpose in my ordinary days, raising 3 children and being a good wife to my husband. Sometimes it gets discouraging, having to “just stay home”… but I know it’s not “just”… my role is important and I think this book could be a good encouragement to me right now.

  • http://www.naptimecoffeebreak.com Debbie Wenger

So much of it sounds good but especially chapter 14 on owning the atmosphere of your home. I too often realize it’s my own doing that creates stress/negativity and it needs to stop. But that whole Part 5 section sounds like it’s what I need!

  • http://thequeenmommy.com/ Debbie Taylor

I need some spiritual oxygen. I have kinda gotten where I want to (dare I say) AVOID the life I’ve been given because it doesn’t meet the whole ideal life I had planned… argh. Sally is just so full of wisdom & experience, and I find that her words sink into the cracks and dried up places in my heart…

  • http://www.gayidle.com/ Gay Idle

Love this…“each person has the power and authority to bring his or her life back into order; we are stewards of the days allotted for our lifetime…” I’m praying and planning much this year toward that goal. The book sounds like a perfect addition to the books I have already chosen to read for 2015!

  • (((((HUGS))))) sandi

I would LOVE to win this, as I have yet to get my copy!!! 🙂

  • Hillary Evans Empfield

I feel like this book is the theme for 2015 for me. I spent last year feeling like I was figuring out why I didn’t feel like my life was the way I wanted it. This year is the year where I want to own that. Stop being a victim and start taking control of my life. Controlling Chaos and Looking to God as my Life Coach are the two chapters that strike a chord at first glance. I cannot wait to read this book!

  • Aya

I would love an opportunity to check out this author!

  • jami h.

Sounds like a great book and inspiring read!

  • Erin Coates

Generous love is what I would love to learn more about. Our pastor preached on 1 John 2:7-9 and how our love for the saints is to be sacrificial with Christ as our standard.

  • Kathleen

With 5 young, busy kids, a husband with a crazy work schedule and trying to work part-time myself at a job I love, I feel many of my days are filled with too much chaos and not enough purpose. I’m trying to work on being more purposeful in life and this book sounds like just thing I need right now!

  • Ashley Pullen

I feel like I am rushing through life and ending each day wondering what I did that really mattered. I need to find my purpose again..

  • T Knowles

Just the quote in your post gets me: “each person has the power and authority to bring his or her life
back into order; we are stewards of the days allotted for our lifetime…”
I need to bring my life back into order!!!

  • sarah

I could use some more joy and fulfillment in my days.

  • 3Sweetpeas

I’d love to learn to live each day with spiritual intention!

  • Olivia

I want to be reminded how to live life well, not exhausted!

  • Sara R

Well, I just read the first chapter download and I really would love the encouragement in making the moments we’d rather forget be moments that shape me more into his image.

  • kate

Wow! This book is exactly where I am at in my life. Trying to figure out God’s special “cup” for my life.

  • Megan

Inspiration to keep on keeping on! WOW! Life feels better when you live with a purpose

  • jennifermcilwain

Would love the chance to read and study along with you Sarah! Thank you for the opportunity!

  • Kali

Ummm…. I’m supposed to pick ONE thing that looks most helpful out of all the great stuff Sally has packed in there??? LOL
Looking forward to reading this book for so many reasons! There has been an overarching feeling of life just being crisis mode/reactionary for too long now, and a couple months ago I really started working to try and get a handle on it – but it’s not something that is coming naturally to me! And then I heard this book was coming out – it seemed like almost providential timing! Sally’s always wise encouragement in that area would be such a blessing right now 🙂

  • Nelly

The most helpful thing for me would be the intentionally about all of my life. I am feeling pulled in that direction and would love some wisdom on how to do that well.

  • Shannon

Sally ‘ s Mission of Motherhood is my favorite book on being a mom. I love her godly wisdom and the “been there” encouragement and help. I would love to read her new book and again gain wisdom, encouragement, and help in “owning my life” and living with intention and understanding and living in God’s will for my unique life.

  • Wendi S.

I’d love to learn to live with intention…

  • Tina

I am looking forward to reading Sally’s book. I’m sure it will be point on as always!

  • Melissa

Can’t wait to read this!! She is such an inspiration!
I am still learning to love who God made ME to be and working on letting go of comparison. I also want to be more open and intentional with those moments He gives me. You never know how God can use you.
Thank you for offering this giveaway!

  • Debra Southern

Discovering the ministry moments, God has designed for me to engage in everyday and leaving a legacy of intentional life for The Lord.

I am so excited for this book! I love Sally Clarkson – she speaks truth to my life and always seems to have the exact words that I need to hear. The first bullet point of the live webcast tonight is the biggest lesson I need to grasp in my life right now: “Learning to love who God has made you, leaving guilt and inadequacy behind.”

  • megan

The section on priorities looks awesome!

  • Joni

I have been very uplifted by other books, blog posts, etc by Sally! In my season of life right now I feel that this book will be a great read to inspire, focus, and uplift. 🙂

  • Katrina S

Part 5 in the book, about creating a Lasting Legacy, is something I know I could learn from!

  • Kiersten

I have enjoyed Sally’s other books and I’m sure this one will be no different. She speaks into my life with truth, which encourages me in my present season.

  • Joanna Adams

I’d have to say part 2- owning your vision, sounds like I should add this book to my 2015 reading list.

  • http://ihaveitchyfingers.blogspot.com/ Jessica Jensen

This book is just where I am right now. Maybe it’s the rapid approach of 40, I don’t know. But I am so tired and weary. And I knkw it is because I have not truly owned my life for some years. It’s more than time to do so!

  • Jennifer DeWeil

I am looking so forward to diving into this book! For me, I feel like Chapter 10 (Tending your Heart and Investing Your Soul) and Chapter 14 (Cultivating a Sense of Place) is what jumps off the page at me. Emotional health and the environment of my home are areas I really want to improve on in 2015.

I want to learn more from Sally and from reading her new book about how to intentionally live my life fuller for God.

  • Michelle T

I need to work on building a home environment that gives life to all who come there. It’s too easy to act as overwhelmed and cranky as I often feel with 3 young children.

You and Sally have encouraged me with your words so much. ..as a Mom and daughter of the Lord. Hope I win this book or can get it soon! Thanks for the giveaway 🙂

  • Jenn Eisenzimmer

Well, pretty sure this could have come straight from my heart, less eloquently written in my journal (if I had time to keep one right now)….”Do you ever long for days full of joy and energy—days that bring out the best version of you rather than leave you exhausted? Do you sometimes catch yourself wishing life was more impactful and fulfilling? In a world that’s moving so fast, it’s easy to lose your sense of purpose. So now is the time to make each moment of your ordinary, everyday, beautiful existence count. “

  • Malinda

    So looking forward to this!

  • Tamra Lewis

This year has been a year of God giving me back somethings I’d set aside to be a better mother. These things used to be the things I found my identity in. God has been gracious to help me me in a better place now where those things like helping with a choir, singing in church again and teaching a class of home schoolers has been such a gift, yet not defining who I am. I think I’m ready for this book because it comes so timely for me. I am not in the trench anymore with my mothering. I’m ready to own my life!

  • Kathy

Finding joy and purpose in everyday life – that caught my eye!

I need the message of this book. I want to learn to rest in who God is, who He made me to be, and to have strength and wisdom to live the life He has given me.

  • Elizabeth

It’s hard to pick out what will be most helpful to me – just when I thought I had it, I kept reading the table of contents and found something else! • tammy cordery

I’m so sorry that I missed the webcast but I pinned it so that I can watch it later I can’t wait. Your book sounds so good to read. I have been trying to listen to what God wants me to do but I am not hearing him.

  • Adriana

This book seems like it would be really helpful in helping me and other women “get on track” with God as to where we should be helping Him with His Kingdom. Or help us figure out what we can focus on by helping us get past anything that is hindering us as well. It looks like a great book! Thank you for the giveaway opportunity! 🙂

  • Chelbie

Sally’s new book looks amazing. Last year I read Desperate, and loved it. I’ve had three kids in the last 4 1/2 years and so I feel like everything I do is about my children. Don’t get me wrong I love being a mother, but I feel that I’ve lost myself during these years. I want to find ways to reconnect and live the life I know the Lord has for me. I want to enjoy each moment and not just feel busy. Thank you for offering this giveaway.

  • Ashley Primus

I am so excited for this new book!… Sally Clarkson is the Godly *older woman* (although she is probably not actually older than me 🙂 ) that I have turned to over and over in my mothering/homeschooling/trying-to-walk-faithfully journey… She shares such wisdom and graciousness and HELP!… I know this new book, Own Your Life, will continue that encouraging and strength-giving tradition… I feel the Lord stirring in me a desire to live more intentionally… As a matter of fact, that very word seems to be a recurring theme over the past several months… I am standing on the edge of a new season in my life, and I am eager and a bit anxious about what it will be like… I am sure Sally will help equip me for whatever is ahead of me, and I will be able to walk forward with more purpose and confidence in the Lord… Thanks for the giveaway opportunity, Sarah Mae!… and I am looking forward to joining your book club… Blessings in your new year!

Sarah Mae, you and Sally have changed my life. I stumbled on your website a few years ago after praying for wisdom and a miracle from God. At the time I was unaware that both of my children had brain disorders as well as genetic health challenges and I was desperate for answers on how to discipline and show love to children who completely rejected my physical touch since birth. Especially my son aged 3 at the time was driving me insane as he would not eat, sleep, play or do anything like a normal child. His tantrums lasted hours during the day and anything could trigger them. Changing his dirty diaper was a 30 min process because he didn’t want it off but couldn’t process why his bottom was burning from poop. Switching breakfast from eggs to his favorite muffin would cause him to fall on the floor screaming like he was dying and would result in nothing being eaten because he couldn’t even remember what he wanted in the first place. The most pleasant change in schedule (skipping nap time because his favorite grandma was coming to visit) would send him over the edge. Kicking, scratching, hitting me, pounding his head on the floor would go on and on. At night he was up all night screaming and banging his head. I would sit beside him all night trying to calm him down, pray over him and keep him from injury. It was horrible. I had reached a breaking point. I felt like the WORST mother in history. I would watch other moms cuddling with their toddlers and would want to throw up from pain. What was I doing wrong? My children would begin writhing the minute they were picked up. You couldn’t hang onto them! I asked everyone I could find for advise but it was always the same…. They would take one look at my screaming children, and the look of judgement would scorch me. My children were highly intelligent, have photographic memory and so since they weren’t mentally slow everyone automatically assumed the fits were being caused by my lack of correct mothering. “You are not scheduled enough” ” you are letting them have their way” “not spanking consistently” “not focusing on them enough” (REALLY??!!!!!???? Did you not hear me just say I don’t even get to talk to my husband at night or even sleep more than 15 min at a time! All I am doing IS focusing on them!!) And the straw that broke the camels back: “You just aren’t a settled down mother. You got pregnant too soon after your marraige. That is why your children are this way. You aren’t enjoying your children and loving them like they need… You want a break but you need to bear your own burden…. Hundreds of women have done this. You need to learn to be stronger. I never asked people to help me with my kids… I loved every minute of being a mom!!!” Well, needless to say she was right about one thing… I would have done anything to get a break. Just 10 minutes alone would have changed my life but NO ONE wanted to watch my kids. They didn’t want to “enable me and make me weak”. I took all their advise no matter how harsh. I was desperate.I tried every different tried and true method recommended to me one at a time until after a few months of consistent implementing I would face the fact that it was only adding gasoline to the fire and would go on to the next elderly woman’s advise.

So I say all that to say, when I was asking God for wisdom And seeking answers I was at the end of the rope. (I even reached a point where I would try to talk to random strangers in the store if they seemed like a knowledgable mother with well behaved happy children) And then the Lord led me to your blog post “maybe your 2 yr old just needs more of you” and the one about her being an out of the box kid. With my kids constantly needing my attention I would only get a min at a time to read here and there, but those random minutes filled my mind and soul for hours! It was so good to know that there was another mother out there who had feelings of frustration with their incredible unique child. I had been under so much guilt and your post shone a glimmer of light into my dark tunnel and made me see that behind all the tantrums and the rejection my son did want and need me. I devoured every post I could find on your sight and then I found Sally’s site and read her post on raising her out of the box kids with the different OCD and ADHD disorders. I had never looked into my children having a disorder because every time I mentioned to someone that maybe something was wrong with their brain they would reprimand me for even thinking of such a ludicrous idea so eventually I accepted the fact that I was just a bad mom. Well after reading about her experience raising brilliant children who had some challenges, I began reading every post she wrote on discipline and as I began implementing her ideas and doing research into different disorders God led me more and more into the light. He led me to understand how my kids brains worked, natural remedies, changes in diet, a specialist who pin pointed their health problems which were causing them to have chronic pain, and most of all God helped me find the way to train and guide my special children and win their heart! I am so thankful for you listening to God and sharing the message with us moms! I praise God that today my children are slowly getting well and becoming balanced children ages 5 and 2. The most precious thing to me is when they want me to hold them. To other mothers it may be normal, to me it is EVERYTHING. I wipe away tears of joy every time I have the privilege of snuggling my children close. We still have difficult days and nights, but when I am tempted to be discouraged I look back at how far we have come in the last 2 years and my heart overflows with gladness at the goodness of God. He takes the plans of the enemy and brings them to naught. He takes all the bad, the ugly, the marred in our lives and works it together for good. He hears the cry of the broken hearted and the downtrodden and sends them streams of healing water from women like you and Sally. He shows us the path of life and in His Presence is fullness of joy. I have learned so much about living in the strength of The Lord. When I consider that for 4 yrs straight I never had more than 3 hours of combined sleep every 24 hour period I can hardly believe I made it through without going to the loony bin lol! I know that humanly it wasn’t possible to stay a functioning mother but God brought me through every day and He never let me sink. Now as my kids are getting well we all get about 5 hours of sleep a night! It’s amazing!! every morning I just thank God for giving my children those hours of healing rest. I don’t take the little things for granted thats for sure!!!

Thank you again for influencing my life and being the lighthouse of Gods truth and hope. I wanted to share a little of my story so that you could see the impact you and Sally are having on thousands of mothers just like me who hang onto your every word and thank God for you every day!!!! Thank you also for the video chat y’all did last night!!! I listened while getting kids ready for bed and my heart was overflowing by the end! You both are such precious blessings to me!!!!

Hello, my name is Miss faith, I’m from USA. I want to inform you all that there is a spell caster that is genuine and real. I never really believed in any of these things but when I was losing Garvin, I needed help and somewhere to turn badly. I found consultant.odia spells and i ordered a LOVE SPELL. Several days later, my phone rang. Garvin was his old self again and wanted to come back to me! Not only come back, the spell caster opened him up to how much I loved and needed him. Spell Casting isn’t brainwashing, but they opened his eyes to how much we have to share together. I recommend anyone who is in my old situation to try it. It will bring you a wonderful surprises as well as your lover back to you. The way things were meant to be.” you can contact the spell caster on ogbonispelitemple@hotmail.com he’s very nice and great. ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,..

How i got my husband back.Am Stacey Bruno by name I never believed in love spells or magic until I met this spell caster once when i went to see my friend in Indian this year on a business summit. I meant a man who’s name is Dr ATILA he is really powerful and could help cast spells to bring back one’s gone, lost, misbehaving lover and magic money spell or spell for a good job or luck spell .I’m now happy & a living testimony cos the man i had wanted to marry left me 5 weeks before our wedding and my life was upside down cos our relationship has been on for 3years. I really loved him, but his mother was against us and he had no good paying job. So when i met this spell caster, i told him what happened and explained the situation of things to him. At first i was undecided, skeptical and doubtful, but i just gave it a try. And in 7 days when i returned to Canada, my boyfriend (now husband) called me by himself and came to me apologizing that everything had been settled with his mom and family and he got a new job interview so we should get married. I didn’t believe it cos the Dr ATILA only asked for my name and my boyfriends name and all i wanted him to do. Well we are happily married now and we are expecting our little kid, and my husband also got the new job and our lives became much better. His email is: atilahealinghome@yahoo.com
