It's Allume's 6th Year! Plus Discount Code and Ticket Giveaway! - Sarah Mae
Hi, I'm Sarah.
Join me in keeping on and beginning again!

It’s Allume’s 6th Year! Plus Discount Code and Ticket Giveaway!

– This giveaway is now over –allumesix

Six years, friends. SIX years.

It’s hard to believe it’s already in its sixth year. Allume, formerly Relevant, was born out of a desire to see kindred spirits connect in person, grow in faith and skill, and have some fun. It’s been a great ride.

And that ride continues this October. Although I’m no longer at the helm, I’ll be there handing out 6 second hugs and speaking on how not to grow weary in your Kingdom work. I can’t wait!

What Can You Expect From Allume?

If you are looking for a warm and welcoming place to meet with bloggers from all over the U.S. (and even the world) to learn about storytelling, effective writing, monetizing your blog, diversity in the blog and social media space, avoiding comparison, and all sorts of topics related to this crazy blogging thing we do, COME! If you aren’t a blogger, STILL COME! My dear friend Amy came last year and was able to connect with an agent for a book that’s been on her heart for awhile. She has no blog, no Facebook, no Twitter. Allume is like that, it’s just friends getting together learning and growing and deepening our faith. It’s a wonderful, beautiful time.

I really hope you can join me there!

“Our goal at Allume is to minister to the woman, the blogger, the story teller. We want to love well, encourage, and spur women on to shine the Light that lives within them. We want to serve you in ways that cultivate the Light of Christ in you, help you expand your influence, use your influence well (in your home, your community, or around the world) and encourage you with stories of those who are living out that Light.”

I’d LOVE to attend to finally meet (face to face!!!) these wonderful women I have met over the last few years. The one thing I’d love to learn at the conference? Last year was my first Allume and I loved connecting with other Creatives, writers, and non-profits. I would love more assistance on the technical part of monetizing your blog. Loved the panel session about publishing (ebook vs. self-publish vs. traditional publishing route). I would love to hear more on developing the discipline of writing for someone who is not a stream-of-consciousness writer and who writes and thinks more freely and clearly in the later night time hours.

Thanks so much for putting this out there for us, Sarah Mae! Blessing upon blessing to you!

As far as learning from Allume, I’d most like to find out how to make my blogging a bit more intentional and, as a result, find a way to monetize it so I can contribute financially to our family through something I love. But beyond that, I’d love to meet up with people from all over the place and find some new friends. ๐Ÿ™‚

I love writing my blog, but am so out of my element with the design and technical side. I would love the resources and connection this conference would offer. I need to learn how to strategically connect to more readers instead of just blogging to my own little sphere. I enjoy writing so much and would love to be able to reach more readers. I have realized (after spending much time to create what I hope to be quality content on my blog) that no matter how much time I spend on writing, if it doesn’t reach people – it doesn’t make the difference that I intended for it to. So marketing would be what I most need to learn about I believe!
